【Blockchain Rhythm】BNB Chain officially announces that the 8-day “Good Vibes Only Hackathon” will be held from January 22 to 29, 2026.
The biggest feature of this hackathon is extremely low participation threshold—focusing on the “Vibe Coding” concept, it does not require participants to be experienced developers. Anyone interested in programming can join. There are no strict theme restrictions; your ideas can be in any direction.
The core requirements for participation are quite simple: create an X account and a GitHub account during the event, showcase your project progress and Demo, and complete at least one on-chain transaction on BNB Chain (BSC or opBNB). All project ideas and development progress will be publicly shared on X and GitHub, open for community oversight.
The judging mechanism adopts a community democratic approach—final winners are decided by community votes (50% weight) and sponsor evaluations (50% weight). Each winning project will receive a $1,000 reward, and as sponsorship increases, the prize pool will continue to grow.
If you have ideas and enthusiasm, this is indeed a low-cost opportunity to test the waters.

A low-threshold hackathon is good, but I'm worried it will end up being just a scheme for big players to harvest retail investors again.

Low barriers are a good thing, but how do the judges choose?

Low-threshold hackathon sounds good, but I'm worried it will still be taken over by big teams in the end.

Low barriers are a good thing, as long as project teams don't cut the leeks.

Low-threshold hackathon sounds good, but I'm worried it might just be another way to scam investors.

Low threshold listening sounds good, but I'm worried it's just another scam to harvest retail investors.
