The U.S. Department of Justice has decided not to re-prosecute former OpenSea manager Nathaniel Chastain in the insider trading case. After the federal appeals court overturned his wire fraud and money laundering convictions in July last year, prosecutors reached a deferred prosecution agreement with Chastain, and the case will be dismissed in one month. Prosecutors stated that considering he has served 3 months in prison and agreed to forfeit 15.98 ETH allegedly obtained from insider trading, not restarting the prosecution is more in the public interest. The case was once considered the first digital asset insider trading case in the United States. (Cointelegraph)
