PANews January 21 News, according to CoinDesk reports, the Zcash Foundation recently released a new DNS seed program based on the Rust language, aimed at improving the efficiency and security of discovering peer nodes when starting Zcash network nodes. DNS seed servers are entry points for decentralized networks, providing active and healthy node lists for newly launched nodes, allowing the network to scale without relying on centralized coordinators. The tool is built on the same network code as Zebra, the full node developed by the Zcash Foundation in Rust, using the same rules and protocols to scan the network, thereby enhancing consistency and reliability. Its lock-free architecture allows for rapid processing of DNS requests, and it includes built-in protection mechanisms such as IP-based rate limiting to prevent abuse attacks. The tool supports IPv4 and IPv6, integrates Prometheus for real-time monitoring metrics, and offers Docker tools to simplify deployment. It is now open source and published on GitHub, encouraging users to test on mainnet and testnet.
