Voice AI engine and OpenAI partner LiveKit's valuation surpasses $1 billion
LiveKit, a developer of real-time artificial intelligence voice and video infrastructure, has completed a $100 million funding round led by Index Ventures, valuing the company at $1 billion. Investors in this round include existing investors Altimeter Capital Management, Hanabi Capital, and Redpoint Ventures. Just ten months ago, LiveKit had completed a previous funding round. Founded in 2021, this startup provides technology support for OpenAI’s ChatGPT voice mode and serves clients such as xAI, Salesforce, and Tesla. Originally an open-source project, LiveKit pivoted to offering managed cloud services to meet enterprise needs during the booming AI era.
